According to the Laws and Regulations of the Government of Sierra Leone, all Building and Civil Engineering (Construction) Contractors should register with the Ministry of Works, Housing and Infrastructure to certify their technical capability. Once registered, the Contractor should renew his/her license annually. See Registration of Contractor for details. The procedure is to fill the Contractor Registration Form and submit to the Secretary of the Contractor Registration Board who is the Deputy Secretary 1, Ministry of Works, Housing and Infrastructure. The Registration Board within a week will approve or reject the application. Applicants on notification of approval should collect advice slip from the Policy Analyst, Ministry of Works, Housing and Infrastructure and pay the required fee at the Guaranty Trust Bank. After payment, the bank payment slip should be returned to the NRA desk officer attached to the Ministry for the issuance of receipt. The certificate of registration will be available within two days of issuance of receipt.
