Completed Township Roads

Ninety (90) percent of work has been done on the Township Roads countrywide in order to create an impact on the Agenda for Prosperity. The Acting Minister of Works, Housing and Infrastructure, Abdul B. Barrie led a team of Technocrats and Journalists on an inspection tour countrywide to access the latest progress and standards of these Township roads.

In Pujehun Town, Hon. Barrie appealed to Tricon Construction Company to redouble their efforts as the people of this Township are in dire need of these roads. He called on the people of that District to exercise patience as the Contractor is now doing massive works on the priming, drainages and the culverts which symbolizes that there is more focus and determination to complete the work. The Chairman Pujehun District Town Council, Sidique Sillah said the Council is fully committed in working in close collaboration with Tricon to complete the roads to improve the lives of the people in Pujehun District. Mr. Sillah revealed that the entire road project is part of their performance contract for 2014, adding that they are working to meet the target time.

Talking to the Guicopres Construction Company in Kono, the Acting Minister said he was quite impressed with the equipment and the work at campsite where capital intensive works are ongoing. The consultant of Guicopres Femikuti George assured the people of Kono District that the company will increase the speed and improve the quality of work.
